A game is defined as structured play with rules, challenges, and interaction. Generally, games are designed for sheer enjoyment and competition but often times games are used as educational tools.
Every culture on earth plays games. Department and toy stores are fulled to the brim with games of all shapes and sizes from chess, checkers and jigsaw puzzles to lawn darts. Dice pieces are small playing cubes which have rounded edges and marked with dots or pips numbering 1 through 6 on each side. The oldest dice ever known were discovered in a 5,000-year-old backgammon set in an archeological site in south-eastern Iran.
