Hawaiian Color Book Tikis and Totems
Draw a totem or tiki outline on a piece of paper or print one of the blank template color book printables. Print these tiki eyes, nose and mouth parts. Color and paste onto the blank template to create a unique tiki statue or tiki mask.
Ancient Hawaiians Worshiped Tiki Gods. These gods were personified through carved wooden statues and placed in sacred island areas such as Hawaiian tiki temples.
Tiki statues also appeared in volcanic cliffs, rainforests, on the coastline and in caves. Tiki gods were worshipped through human sacrifice, chants, prayers, and lava sledding, where Hawaiians would surf down a specially made volcanic lava flow.
